Star of the recent Showtime special "Historically Incorrect," Alonzo has performed comedy around the world including at Just For Laughs in Montreal and the Kilkenny Ireland Comedy Fest, as well as in Sydney, Australia and Brighton Beach in the UK. He's also entertained the troops everywhere from Iraq to Greenland.
An inveterate host, Alonzo has fronted shows such as Travel Channel’s America’s Worst Driver, ITV’s Inside the Vault, and Speed Channel’s 101 Cars You Must Drive. He's also a regular guest on NPR’s acclaimed Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me… Introduced to America on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, on which he became the runner up on season two, he came back to win it all on season three of Last Comic Standing.
His first stand-up special "Who's Paying Attention?" premiered on Showtime and it was the genesis for his popular podcast of the same name, on which he discusses news and current events.
During an afternoon in 1991, a fifteen-year-old Jeff Garcia was getting ready for the first night of the rest of his life. Jeff entered an amateur comedy competition at a local Los Angeles club. Jeff was full of idioms, sarcasm and street jokes. Jeff's edgy; street smart brand of comedy took second place that night. He went back to La Puente, California with an eight-inch trophy and fifty dollars in his pocket. By the time Jeff Garcia was sixteen, he landed his first television spot on HBO's Loco Slam. Since then Jeff has made over twelve television appearances, including NBC's Friday Night Video's, Vibe with Sinbad, and Galavision's Funny is Funny showcasing his comedy talent.
